This section contains information concerning the BASK annual meeting, relating to its organisation etc, expand each section below for further details.

Abstract submission is open to anyone who specialises in Knee orthopaedics, the submission portal opens for an 8week period around Autumn time with Authors being notified of selection in December.  Authors selected to present at the meetings must register to attend.  Please follow the link from the Events page for updated information.

In addition to the invited lectures and instructional sessions, at the BASK annual meeting there are free papers, posters and e-posters.
Guidance on preparing work for each of these is available here and should be adhered to strictly when preparing for the conference.
In order to have your work presented you MUST be registered for the conference, this includes Posters and ePosters.

BASK Podium Guidelines
It is imperative that you stick to time and that your talk is clear and rehearsed. Presentations can be submitted in advance and details will be published here in due course. Authors must state BASK podium presentation and the unique abstract number in the Subject title of the e-mail. Alternatively the presentation may be brought on a USB stick to the conference, but ensure that it is checked well before the session it is due to be presented in.

BASK Poster Guidelines
Keep your posters simple and ensure they are correctly formatted, click here for Poster guidelines. All posters accepted can also be submitted as EPosters, but must also meet the EPoster guidelines.

BASK EPoster Guidelines

The rules for the EPosters must be followed or they will not be displayed.  For the 2020 meeting EPosters should be e-mailed to eventteam_bask@outlook.com by 22nd February 2020 or they will not be displayed. Authors must state BASK EPoster presentation and your unique abstract number in the Subject title of the e-mail.

BASK members; can register to attend the annual conference FREE of charge within the Members Free Registration period, provided that their membership subscription payment has been collected at the start of the year*

For individuals who have applied to become a BASK Member (to be ratified at the meeting AGM) provided an online membership application has been completed and a direct debit form has been received back by the BASK Events team before the date of the end of the Members Free Registration period for that years meeting, in order for their first subscription payment to be collected at the start of the year, can also register FREE of charge to attend*

*Membership and subscription payment status will be checked annually and any outstanding subscriptions on 1st February for registered delegates will be either due immediately or the Non-Member equivalent conference charge will be payable.

2020 Conference registration:
Conference registration system – opened mid November 2019
Free registration for BASK members – open until 2nd January 2020
Early bird discount for non-members – open until 2nd January 2020

Further charges beyond the above dates will apply for both BASK Members and Non-Members, online registration will close at midnight on 6th April 2020.

Onsite registration will be available – from the first day of the conference

CPD points are available for each conference and the number vary each year.

Fixed points are usually awarded for educational content
with a further 1 point per hour of free paper sessions attended, providing the papers were relevant to your practice

In order to qualify for points you must also make reflective notes for filing in your personal portfolio

These will be issued, within 3 months of the meeting, after completion of the post meeting survey which is emailed to all delegates to complete online.

A request to complete the SurveyMonkey form will be sent to the e-mail address you gave when registering for the conference. One reminder will be sent 2 weeks after the initial request. If you do not receive the request please contact the webmaster.

A certificate will only be issued on completion of the survey:

No survey response = No certificate

Once the survey is closed it will NOT be re-opened and no further certificates will be sent out. BASK enforces this rule rigidly!

BASK will not be held responsible for any loss of personal items or any personal injuries during the course of the annual meeting.
